Over 43% of websites on the internet are powered by WordPress.  

It is no secret that WordPress is a popular content management system (CMS) with extensive features and capabilities. However, its popularity also makes it a prime target for cybercriminals. 

In a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing, GoDaddy revealed that they've discovered unauthorized access to their managed WordPress servers. To be exact, the breach opened the information of 1.2 million active and inactive customers since September 6th, 2021. 

This revelation is just the latest in a string of breaches that have hit WordPress sites in recent months.  

That would not be surprising because WordPress is an open-source CMS tool that has a lot of vulnerabilities that cybercriminals can exploit.

WordPress may be easy for beginner website builders but that doesn't mean it's always the most secure option.

The sooner you can migrate away from WordPress, the better it would be.

If you can avoid it, stay away from WordPress! There are many other CMS options available that are just as user-friendly and more secure.
